Obituary for Kathleen Bradley

January 29, 1953 September 13, 2018

Kathleen Bradley (Kathy), passed away peacefully Sept 13th 2018 at the age of 65. A loving sister, aunt, great aunt, friend and giving neighbor.
Kathleen was born on January 29, 1953 at Stanford Hospital to Joseph and Dorothy Bradley. She grew up in Los Altos with three brothers, Joe, Bob and Steve and three sisters, Nellie, Mary and Jeanne. Kathy attended St. Nicholas School, Holy Cross High School/St. Francis High School and later graduated from Summa Cum Laude at Santa Clara University.
Kathy started her career with Woolworth, then Gemco and after college spent her career as a buyer for McKesson in San Francisco, Sysco in Santa Clara, VTA (Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority) in San Jose and retired from the City of Palo Alto in 2011.
Kathy lived for family celebrations, holidays and any gathering that she could host with an open door and overflowing amounts of food and cheer. She never wanted help and always sent everyone home with leftovers and a warm hug. She traditionally held all major holiday events at house along with special parties throughout the year for friends and neighbors. She always made sure everyone enjoyed themselves and unselfishly told everyone “just bring yourself” to the party. Her house was always standing room only and loud with chatter and laughs and that was the only way she would have it. She loved a good time and would often meet up with old high school friends to celebrate special events. Her favorite locals were Chef Chu’s, Frankie, Johnny and Luigi’s and of course LeBoulanger. Kathy loved to garden and swim in her pool. After retirement, she had the opportunity to spend time in her yard, tending to the various different projects she had going on in her backyard.
Kathy is survived by a sister, Jeanne Pitoniak and a brother, Joseph Bradley and 42 nieces and nephews who all loved and cherished her. She never missed a birthday, wedding, christening, graduation or holiday to be a part of their lives.
We cherish the memories she leaves. Her Irish spirit will always be with us.
We will miss you, Kathy!
