By succession, today, the owners of The Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary are Sherri and Matthew Cusimano, two of the children of Joseph and Sue Cusimano. As second generation Funeral Directors, we are committed to continuing the tradition of serving families with the highest standards of personal family service.

 

Sherri Cusimano - FDR 942

 

Licensed by the State of California as a Funeral Director. Sherri is the president of the Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, and the daughter of Joe and Sue. She was born in California, and attended St. Joseph’s School and Holy Cross High School in Mountain View; she also attended California State University at Chico. Sherri has been active in the St. Joseph’s Church Centennial Celebration, and in several presentations on Funeral Service in the Diocese of San Jose In addition, she currently serves on a Committee of the Selected Independent Funeral Homes - a national organization of independent, familyowned Funeral Homes. It is a “Member by Invitation” organization. Sherri has over 25 years of experience in serving the families of our community, and is expert in prearranging funerals.

 

Matthew Cusimano - FDR 941

 

Licensed by the State of California as a Funeral Director. Matt is the manager of the mortuary. He is the son of Joe and Sue, born in Texas and came to California with them after WWII. He attended St. Joseph’s School, and St Francis High School in Mountain View; Foothill College in Los Altos, and California State University San Jose (B.A.), and graduate School at Stanford University (M.F.A.). He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and is a membere of the Marines Memorial Association. In Mountain View, he served two terms on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce, and is a Past President of the Mtn. View Rotary Club.

 

He was a member of the North Bayshore Advisory Committee for the City of Mountain View, and was a founder of Project G.O.A.L. (Game Of A Lifetime)- a golf program for children in Mountain View and at Moffett Field N.A,S.; a past Board Member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, and currently serves on the Board of Villa Siena. He is very supportive of the Mtn. View Firefighters, and has worked with the Mtn. View Police Department Peace Officer's Association in helping to create a recognition card project and “Cops ‘n’ Gobblers,” a Thanksgiving family assistance progam for families in Mountain View. Matt has worked at the mortuary since 1985.
